By popular demand, I will now be offering One-On-One Fashion & Beauty Photography workshops.

The One-On-One workshop is a four day workshop. There is only one student at a time. We usually split this up over three weeks, 1 day each week (the final week will be two days); each day is approximately 8 hours of hands on training and face to face discussion. You will have homework!

The first day is all learning, we go over all the different types of capture and lighting equipment that I use, how to use it, etc. We discuss workflow including Capture One Software.

The second day, you assist on a real commercial or editorial shoot as I shoot.

The third day is a preparation for the practical on the fourth day. We will discuss concepts for your shoot. I will walk you through creating pre-production documents, booking the team, preparing “inspiration” materials, selecting models, and building a set.

The fourth day is a practical — Your turn to shoot. We have a professional, agency represented model come in for the day, a professional makeup artist and hair stylist, and, if you choose, at an additional cost we can get a professional fashion stylist. I guide you through directing the creative team, working with the model, setting up the lighting, shooting the editorial, and working with the team. You will also be assigned one of my assistants for the day. You will actually shoot a 5-6 page editorial. It can be either fashion or beauty.

The cost for the 1-on-1 workshop is $2500 and includes my time, use of the equipment, the cost of the model, makeup artist and hair stylist. You will also get to use the Mamiya 645AFDII with PhaseOne P30+ digital back for your shoot. During the “training day” you will learn how to use it, as well as how to use CaptureOne in a tethered environment.
